Due to the worlds current condition, we won't be having so many IN PERSON meetings for a month or two..
Club Meetings and club board meetings are being held with ZOOM (at least until facilities open back up)...Meetings will be announced here.
The stir crazy net held at Noon on weekdays on the 146.94 repeater is a huge hit with lots of participation, ( I hope it never goes away! ) We also still have a new Saturday morning net on 3907KHz (or 146.94 depending on conditions).. A few hardcore hams have been getting takeout breakfast from IHOP and picnicking with other hams in the parking lot. Oh and the regular 146.94 net on monday nights is another good one.

These times seem to be making new people (some are preppies, some just need a hobby, some were always curios and now have extra time) to get the interest in ham radio.. I get calls or emails or in person at work that ask me about it nearly every day...
This is a time we should polish our ELMER skills and make sure we help these folks that want to share our hobby..
Also, I have heard the VE's are working on ways to administer ham Radio testing remotely so you guys can get a license or upgrade.. (all this time to study!).. Keep your eyes here for news as it develops.
Turn on your Ham Radios and stay informed.
Recognize BVARC SK's:
Help us recognize (memorialize) the BVARC hams that have passed away. Many of these SKs have ELMERED us and taught us so much in the past. BVARC has a special place for them on the WHO IS BVARC page. We don't get notices of everyone that dies, so if you know of anyone, please let us know email@example.com
