RULES AND
GUIDELINES
It is the intent of The
Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club to have an orderly,
legal, and non-restrictive set of procedures and rules
for the use of our Club call sign KK5W.
1. Prior to
applying for use of the Club Call, the applicant must be
a member in good standing in The
Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club for at least 90 days.
2. The applicant
must abide by all current FCC Rules and regulations
while using the Club Call. The applicant must be
familiar with “control operator” rules and regulations.
3. The applicant
must submit an application in reasonable time for the
Board to act at a regular meeting of the Board.
Applications may not be submitted more than 365
days in advance of the anticipated use date(s).
4. A
Club-sponsored event (approved by the Board) will always
take precedence over an approved application to
use the Club Call.
5. If more than
one application is received for the same time period,
the one that was received by the Club
Secretary first will take precedence over the rest of
the applications for the same date(s).
6. The maximum
time for a reservation of a Club Call is 15 days. This
may be extended or modified if other evidence
is presented or if a situation necessitates.
7. You will be
notified by e-mail and by telephone of your application
approval or denial by the Club Secretary or Club
Call Trustee.
8. If there is
an infraction of the FCC regulations or any laws, use of
the Club call must cease immediately. A full written
report must be made to the Club Secretary within 7 days
of the incident. The applicant will be liable for all
fines or sanctions and will reimburse the Club for
monies spent in its defense arising out of the
infraction.
